Heavy Duty “Nomad” Nissan Patrol Valve Body Assembly
Well I have finished it... So much for an hour or so to change them over.... 5 hours.... I have taken it for a drive now... All seems to be working, how would I know if something was wrong?
No leaks which is good as well.... Tomorrow night I will do the temp guage and lock up switch!

Well on a positive note the new valve body works a treat.... As does the temp guage and lock up switch. Has it down yeagerup on sand dunes and beach the entire easter and it didn't miss a beat, I would recommend the temp guage to anyone, really changes how you drive.....
Now for the bad news.... I sent my valve body back to wholesale automatics the morning after I removed it from the car to get my 450 deposit back and they just rung me to say the valve body is rusted and no good.....how can this be, I even thought the oil was magic when I dropped it, they are saying my auto must have water in it.... I swear they have mixed this up over there or is it possible they are doing the dodge.... He said he could send me a pic but as I said, how would I know it is my valve body?
Had anyone else had this sort of problem with them?

I asked if they may have swapped it with someone else's, he said no ( after asking the girl if it could have been mixed up) he was suggesting that I sent him one that had been in a wrecked box.... I tried convincing him I don't have access to other boxes, he made me feel like I was screwing him........ Sometimes I hate living in perth as you have to trust too many people on the other side of the country and it is too easy for them to mess with ya.... Have had some good customer service but so I guess it all evens out in the end!! Just sux as it is the 450 dollars and the 30 dollars to send it there

Sorry to hear mate!!

I agree with Scotty, I had really good dealings with them when purchasing my nomad. But I had the work done by a auto specialist so he mainly dealt with them. Dont suppose you got a pic of it before you sent? Or is there any distinguishing marks on it to prove it's yours or not?
Could it have been rusty and you not known?

It looked perfect when it came out... Was really happy with the oil too.... It was so good I was tempted to put it back in( I didn't) and there wasn't a mark on it..... They reckon it was rusted and seized..... Absolutely no way it could have done that in 6 days travelling( over easter).. They have to have mixed it up but unless I wanted to waste my time with legal action across borders I have nothing.... I just can't accept that was the condition it was in when it got there.....

Tell Rodney that if its not sorted in favour of you a lot of free advertising / links of his products on this website will be removed!
Besides a few little miss haps with there packaging, received damaged gaskets in transit and a wrong oil pump cover ( not really there fault, suppose to be a few different types not that I knew that ) I would of recommended them to anyone. I never spoke to Rodney directly my old man did, but I know Rodney was very helpful every step of the way when I was doing my gearbox rebuild.
Before reading your thread I would of and have highly recommended them to anyone that was doing work on there auto gearbox.
Don't think I will now though

Tell him to send you a pic, then reply saying it was not your valve body as the the one you sent wasn't rusty looking when you sent it *L*
Don't email him, ring him. There has to be a mix up for sure
