Cheap Snorkel?
hi,
looking around for a snorkel and found these;
http://www.snorkels.com.au/p/530493/...l-engines.html
Anyone heard of them or tried one? They seem pretty cheap.
1981 Nissan Patrol MQ SWB, 3.3TD, West Melbourne.

SUCH IS LIFE
I don't know much about them but had an airfow on my Discovery. It did the job and never let any water in and did't seam to leak.
For a bit extra you'll pickup a Safari. I paid $360 for mine from ARB on special.

What other alternatives are there to ARB which aren't too cheap and nasty?

Airflow have been around for years mate, that is not a cheap Chinese copy of a safari that just got here, Go for it.
Alternatively make one out of 4" Stainless tube with some bends, i reckon they look great. I'd have one on my GQ if i did not already have a hole cut in my quarter.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Seem to have seen/heard of these S/S snorks but bloody sure I'm not up to the bending involved.
Are they a stock item from somewhere or do you talk to say an exhaust system fabricator or something?
Got a 3.0l 2008 model after 15 years of TD42 with 2 filters which worked with lots of cleaning but I think one filter on the 'new' one is going to need a snork.

Hey Col.
If you have a late model GU then go one of these mate
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...der-200-for-gu
will look better than the SS4" i reckon. The SS look great on the GQs but i like the plastic on the late GUs
