going to be different and go with checker plate lino after sealing the wood. that way any spills will be a easy clean up. will weigh it and post photos on sunday.

If I was you I'd be saving up asap, building one using 12mm ply as particle board will just fall to pieces once off road.

I'm not sure if it still happens, but years ago motor bike shops used to chuck their crates that were made from ply wood. I wonder if that is still a viable source today?

A 2.4x1.2 sheet of 12mm is only $30~, I'd go new and have it all shiny.
Just pre-drill and counter sink the holes.. sweet as..

I know ours is local, the local mill makes it..
But still its cheap quality.. trying to compete they push it to quick, had to wet mine down and re set it to remove a 60mm bow in 2 of the 3 sheets...

A lot of fastners are made in China. I bought gal nails to fix up weatherboards and they rusted within weeks, leaving rust trails on the new paint :-(
