Yep, it is on the old Ghan line, but TPC just beat you with his spot on answer of Farina, once a rail hub, now a ghost town. The campground there is really quite amazing.... it is surrounded by gibber desert & the campground is a small depression completely hidden from sight until you enter it.
Here are a couple of pics taken from the same spot at the edge of the campground. The first looking east the second looking west.
