Regarding the bus. There are apparently several of these yellow double deckers all at different locations throughout the outback. I saw one behind the now closed Betoota Hotel between Windorah & Birdsville, but it's not TD's one.
Agree we should restrict our answers to one per post (even though I was guilt of not doing so earlier).
Btw Lawn Hill was one of our favourite places. We were there quite late in the season, 47 degrees, stayed for 10 days or so, & had the whole gorge to ourselves except for one night. Even kayaked up the gorge & camped out on the little 'jetty' next to the water fall. Brilliant. Did the climb up to the top too ....... but would not have recognised the place from the pic shown. It never occurred to me it might be Lawn Hill. Best was just after dawn seeing huge flocks of budgies doing aerobatics over the water as we floated along. The camp down by the river at Gregory Downs was pretty special too.

it was one of our favourite spots as well, pure paradise. Not that hot but we had around 30...lol. The bird singing is just amazing. We camped at the free camp spot at Gregory Downs as the river spot was totally full. We had a local guy there who would drink till 2-3am every night but kept to him self,,,lol
