stripped carb down except for removing all the jets " bar both air bleeds".
soaked/drowned carb body componites with nyulon foam manifold cleaner.
left to soak for 15 min and it's great stuff
it doesn't flash off like carb cleaner, dissolve all visible crap.
blow out with compressed air.

blow out again.
Don't want to damage the Jets removing em , Really think its clean.

Personally I would remove everything, give it a clean the re install it. Also with carbs, all flat mating surfaces I try to lap with some fine wet and dry because they aren't the most perfect surface to begin with.

Thanks for that.
I did manage to remove a couple of jets and they were as clean as a whistle.
Its just the rest are very tight and I don't want to damage them.
Might try that freeze spray stuff to loosen jets, see how it goes.
The mating surfaces are nothing short of disgraceful, but to fix that may up-set matting surfaces being parallel to one another.
They are clean so I'm going to use Hylomar gasket spray on the gaskets and improve it that way.
Cheers
Managed to remove the other jets, all good.
But, and there always seems to be a but.
"A" what looks like a jet, is not mentioned in manual.
Nissan fast shows a plug, and that looks to be the case as I can't see any vents in it or able to clean it out.
Just want conformation it is a plug ??.
