Carby tune
Hi all. I've pulled the carby off the old 4.2 over the weekend and given it all a good clean and put a kit through it. Got it back together now and it seems to be running ok but just wondering if there is a method to best get the fuel air mixture to the right setting. Well at least in the ball park just until I get around to getting to the mechanic for a proper tune. And on that note I'm yet to work out who a good mechanic is for these trucks in the act so if anyone could recommend one that would be appreciated.
Cheers

Bro, get you hand on a manual as its not that straight forward.
You need to fiddle with timing and throttle screw possibly at same time.
To much to type here, and way to easy to mess up typing.
"2 + pages in my manual"
"Reason" Need a base point for revs and timing, for the mixture to be set for the best dyi tune.
a bad tune will always shorten engine life exp, and empty your wallet.
stick with a genuine manual, available on this site.

Thanks. I've got idle and timing pretty spot on I reckon. It's really just the mixture I want to get somewhat right just so I don't do any damage or chew too much fuel between now and getting it to a mechanic. Don't have the cash for a proper tune at the moment. (Mid wedding planning, damn expensive). I'll download that manual and see what I can do. I've got the Gregory's but it hasn't been too helpful in this case

Gregory's manuals are good for 2 things.
Door stop.
Paper to start a fire.
