Haha, It's not as clean as she looks in the photos :P I should also add, I'm doing everything I possibly can myself, I'll be doing the wiring myself as well... . It will be a budget build and I'm hoping to get away with it for under $10K, price of the patrol and motor included hahaha. So far I'm up to $3k for the motor, the bellhousing kit, the engine mount kit and the alternator/AC relocation kit.
All this is going to be done in my back yard. I'm a production operator at the moment but will probably be starting a fitter and turner apprenticeship soon. I've done a couple of easy motor swaps before this, so this will be the biggest job yet

Advanced
let me know if you need any information, and i'd strongly recommend an aftermarket wiring loom to save the hassle of messing around deleting the bcm loom and surprisingly, your engine bay will get cluttered very quickly with wiring. as you said there isn't a great deal of step by step information regarding the conversion, it is not as straight forward as you might think (like diff ratio's, exhaust selection, power steering pump modifications and lines, ecu mounting, alternator wiring, etc etc).. i made plenty of mistakes that cost a lot time to sort out, hopefully i may be able to save you the same headaches. i'm in the same boat, all the work done to my patrol was carried out myself at home (except tuning and 3.5" exhaust).
FAST, RELIABLE, CHEAP.... PICK 2 OF THE 3

Cheers DC-Auto I think with the security removed from the ECU the BCM shouldn't be an issue? I'm kinda looking forward to giving the wiring a go still. Nothing better than connecting wires and turning that key and hearing it fire up haha (even if it does take a few goes lol) if I get stuck ill send you a PM for sure
