    Distributor cap, repco

Gidday all, I was just cleaning the engine electrics and setting the spark plug gaps, and I noticed that the carbon brush in the top of the dissy cap is cactus. I was quoted $35 for a repco cap. Has anyone used them, are they up to the job; water, heat, vibration etc?

And while I'm here, I found a printing error in my Haynes manual. Page 1-3, It says the 3ltr spark gap is 0.8mm to .19 mm. It should be
0.8 mm to 0.9mm, according to the owners manual.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Yeah, .19mm, may as well hit the electrode with a hammer and close the gap. :-p
