Patrol God
WELL fellas after reading three pages of threads our TB45E dual fuel auto is in the same ball park as most of them
our truck is stock standard running MAXXIS BIGHORNS 265/75 on38P.S.I thanks to BOB and his maths im getting 24lt/100ks
hwy and of course it would be higher in the bush
if i was to add a snorkel and bigger exaust pipe i wounder if this would improve the economy
i run mainly on gas as the petrol seems to dissapear very quickly
cheers roofy

Hey mate - not sure what did the most good as it were, but I had the O2 sensor replaced at the same time the snorkel went in, and as per my other post, I have dropped (easily) 4-5 litres per 100 on the highway ... I expect to get even more with the extractors and 2.75" exhaust .. that is a post Christmas add on though, so will be some time before I get to see the benefits ... as for the snorkel though, I reckon it's a given for any patrol (aside from all the other benefits).

I also have a complete breakdown of each leg, some flat out, some very careful driving, some with a/c on, some with hills and ranges. Will not post them tonight, but probably later on tomorrow night, as I have a pretty full day tomorrow and I am just about stuffed today after over 700 Km today, no a/c on,
i am just about all dried out with the heat.

OK figures in detail. First, as mentioned TB42E , manual, roof rack, standard 15" tyres. did not use a/c unless mentioned. Drivers window down most of the way.
- Canberra to Sydney (297Km) sitting on the speed limit - 100 to 110 KPH not sure what fuel was in car when I picked it up = 15.06 L / 100Km
- Sydney to Richmond to Wyong to Newcastle (264Km) sitting on the speed limit standard 91 unleaded = 16.3 L / 100Km
- Newcastle to Coffs (388Km) sitting on between 80 to 90 Kph last fill up was with E10 91 unleaded = 13.87 L / 100Km
- Around Coffs (43Km) stop and go 50% with a/c on. Last fill up was standard 91 unleaded = 20.4 L / Km
- Coffs to Caboulture (456Km) sitting on the speed limit no a/c. Last fill up was standard 91 unleaded = 15.46L / 100Km
- Caboulture to Bli Bli to Woodford to Nanango stitting on speed limits. Hills, ranges, varied speed, Last fill up was E10 91 unleaded = 16.L / 100Km
- Total trip (1700Km) = 15.3644 L / 100Km
Conclusions
a) variation between 91 and E10 91 did not seem to make much difference
b) dropping highway speed from 100+ to approx 85 saved approx 1.3L /100Km
c) stop start driving with a/c on used approx 5L / 100Km more than highway miles

Thanks for the detailed information mate - greatly appreciate the effort and a good read. Top figures at the end of the day - driving style has so much to do with how much you use!!

Assume you mean 24L / 100 for the home town driving. On gas those figures look good. Was tossing up to go dual fuel, but this one came up first and am still happy.
