Lake Eildon Murray Cod
Hired a Houseboat up at Eildon for 5 days and decided to make the most of it and get some fishing done even though we only live 20 minutes off the lake. Mainly just chasing carp using corn as my pockets aren't bottomless and carp don't deserve worms!
But much to our surprise and that of local fishing gurus my brother grabbed a nice Cod on Corn?!
We lost a rod overboard after that as the houseboat didn't have rod holders so my suggested early christmas present from the girlfriend was a nice new overhead rig for chasing Cod and Yellas so after a short drive into town I left ready. Back out on the boat and we were about to move spots and Scotty (Mum's Boyfriend) Said he'd have another can before we left so I went and chucked a spinnerbait at a tree and it got scoffed down by this beut!

It was ok been out a few times, New Years was packed but not like I've seen it before. Nah roofy that's not luck really, there's a bloke who comes into work and he's THE Eildon Guru and pulls in cod nearly every trip, just the other day I was mixing up paint for him and having a chat and he said he pulled out 6 cod between 50-65cm that morning

BIG & BALD
To catch cod constantly, you really need to put the hours into different areas, using different baits and lures at different times of the day.
Well that's what I've been doing and found patterns to catch cod.
Well done, some people fish in cod filled lakes and never caught any.
