Free camping Tasmania
guy`s the free camp site at the Batman Bridge reserve has been closed down.
Apparently this came about due to pressure from the caravan park owners and the Department of infrastructure.

G`day Pete.
lucas`s place is the go. I don`t mind paying a fair price for a fair deal.
But paying $30 a night for a bit of dirt with power is not on. I will use caravan parks that are reasonably priced but
most are overpriced by at least 30 to 40% for what you get.I can name a lot of parks that are real value for money, and I
can name a lot that are just a rip off. I`m set up to free camp for up to 3 or 4 weeks at a time but on the odd occasion like to be civilized and use some home type amenities and i am prepared to pay a reasonably price for such services. Sorry my rant for the day
