The ability to change the beam is handy, I have a few re-chargeable that bolt to a rifle
and are a true pencil beam but hopeless at camp, more than happy with all my torches

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Trustfire...QAAOSwEeFU9FrM
Also have one of these a lot heavier than the one in the other link
but a great torch for walking around camp at night, highly recommend

I own a Fenix TK 41 and its been going great for years now. Its been manhandled at pretty much every camping trip by kids and it just works...

Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Nice and bright thats all I wanted, probably a
bit too bright for a head torch. I like them bright
less chance of tripping over anything

You would not be disappointed with either of these torches,
and for under $50 for both its a winner in my eyes,
The top lnk you can by extension pieces to fit extra batteries
but Ive found it perfect as it is. It was recommended to me by Bob.

I also have a 6 cell Mag lite but I think these new gen led torches
leave the mag-lites in the dust. You can convert them to led but who wants a 18" torch
The led lenser P7 is a very good torch as well

@ Jeff wouldnt waste my money plenty of very good led torches available these days.
G'day mate. Hope you well, how's the back. I like the idea of the 6 cell Maglite. It lives at the back door. The weight will be handy if I catch the thieving mongrel that knocking of our firewood.

A good solid maglight has more than one use 🔨. I upgraded my 6 cell maglight with a drop in LED from the UK. I researched a decent one which would still allow me to adjust the focus of the beam. Works really well and the batteries just last. My mag light lives in the drivers door pocket for now. Never know when it could come in handy.

I am looking at getting another torch specifically for the rifle for walking about so the maglight is a tad big for that. I would want something compact yet can throw as much light to 200m or beyond.
