auto to manual
Hi there all, I am currently switching my maverick from auto to manual but have hit a snag. It seems the crankshaft wont take a spiggot bush. It looks as if the crank hole is only about 19mm but spiggot bush is 20mm.
Anyone had any experience with this? My Mav is 1990 automatic/carb TB42 model.
Should I try to drill out the crank or get the bush machined down to fit...?
Thanks in advance for any advice and Merry Christmas to all.
Michael

All sorted... I was told to put the bush in the freezer for a while then try fit it. Suprising how much it shrunk!

Well the replacement manual box is in now with a new clutch. The only hassle was trying to figure out the isolator... think I may have a clutch booster vacuum leak tho! one freakin heavy gearbox eh? ESP when you are working on the back lawn with on a slope...
