    Exclamation 2007- present 3.0 ute's any problems with them before i consider buying one???

    just wondering if anyone has some info i keep hearing bad things about these 3.0 engines??? what should i look out for if considering buying one?? cheers lads!!!

    The CRD is a great motor, you'll be spinning wheels every corner. As above, issues were with the earlier models

    Hi mate - a lot of what you hear about the earlier DI 3.0L engines is related to the issue on here known as "grenades" where the engines kill themselves. Search for grenade, etc on here and you will see a heap of info. There is also a heap of tips on what to do for DIs but with the CRDs (2007 and on) you don't have the same issues. When looking at any just do your normal due diligence like you would on buying any new vehicle.

    depends what you are after? low down grunt for off road = 4.2, 3.0l = running around town and light 4x4

    The synco's do go in some of the gear box's. Have had a few at work do it
