Then i scored a Smartbar from XLR8. this guy is a true legend, the amount he has helped me out with his mechanical knowledge will not be forgotten

Mike helped fit the bar up and fit the Roolite 180's to it

next up was the lift, tough dog springs and shocks 2" with help from 1BBQ and XLR8 what a differnce it made, from measurements before and after i gained 3.5" at the front and 3" at the rear

After the lift XLR8 once again offered parts for my car some 16" rims with 33" Pro Comp All terrains at a bargain price

then the day i do not wish upon anyone

driving along, i notice my temp guage slowly rising, stop, get out check, all seems ok, so start it up and drive about 1km and the temp guage goes ballistic,
the goop that was spraying out of the overflow bottle was a brown muddy oily consitency not a pretty site, the stain is still on the side of the road nearly 12 months later
the head had crapped itself, and instead of water going into engine, the oil was going into the cooling system

so once again XLR8 was called upon, and without his knowledge and knowhow i would have been up the creek.
he rebuilt the top end for me with me offering what little assistance i could new head new radiator hoses and other bits and pieces,

    then i finally got to purchase a set of XLR8 SS1 Slider/Steps,.

I also have MSA seat covers in the rear, and a set for the front which I will be replacing once the St Kilda seat covers wear out. Uniden UHF and RFI Explorer Ariel are fitted,

that is about all i have done to the old girl, and wont be doing much more to it now, as my partner and I are planning a trip to NSW & Qld in 2012, We are looking at upgrading to a 4.2td either later model GQ or maybe a GU as we have to tow a 30ft caravan back from NSW

Good stuff mate - love seeing the progression in people's builds ... always gives me a kick along about what I can do next!!! Amazing the difference a few decent 'cosmetic' designs make too - the new bullbar, whilst more functional etc than a nudge bar, quite simply looks the goods too!!
