Prop Shaft spacers?

Here's my first quickie then.... With a 9" suspension lift on my LWB GR how long do my prop spacers need to be...? Took it out the garage for a quick spin, heard a slight scuffing. So threw it back in fitted an extra exhaust hanger and have made up 4 flanges to make my prop spacers 100x100x10mm I have some heavy steam pipe that's ideal for the job just looking for a measurement before I do some guess work....
I have about 3mm clearance from fowling of the front prop on the gearbox crossmember and about the same on the rear....

Had a read around... Gona turn the rear prop and chop the gearbox crossmember then see where I'm at....

Definitely swap the rear end for end. I needed to with a 4" lift. I dunno if available but possibly look for a double cardnan joint like jeeps need when lifting

Never had any issues with 5" of lift. Thinking my original springs were a bit weak though. Bought heavy duties and they were worse than standard so had some made to my own spec. Looking at around £400 for a double cardon prop and yea they are available...
Why spend when I can make though....?

We'll se how she's sitting by the end of the day...

Im only wearing 33's but with lotsa flex i was rubbing my tailshaft quite badly till i swapped it end for end

Why spend when I can make though....? .

If you can make em then thatd be a shipload better than spacers

Ok, not tried flexing the truck yet but have turned rear prop, cut and re-welded G-box crossmember and made up my own castor correction plates. Handles spot on again might back the turbo offf a bit though as boosting 18psi is a bit much with the R34 unit I think.

Will get some double cardon props sorted and some longer shocks when I get a minute.

It's fine as my daily driver as is right now though. Just not quite there as a serious play thing but I have my Volvo for that.......

we need some pics of your 9" lift mate. and your Volvo please. I have little doubt that you need the 9" lift as a Daily but pretty keen to have a look at it. i assume your running very big rubber? Arctic style?
