Greetings All
I am currently looking at trading in the wife's Jeep Commander and looking at a Patrol as she has always wanted one (I have my HSV VE GTS so I guess it's only fair). We have been looking around and have found a dealership advertising a GU 5 ST series patrol. Went onto the internet to reasearch the GU5, but there is nothing.... Can find the GU II, GU III, GU IV and finally the GU VI. Is there such a thing as the GU 5???? It's apparently a 2007

Welcome to the forum. Good idea trading the Jeep for a Patrol, you won't look back. But why don't you go one better and drop the engine from the GTS into the new Patrol? All that power and the ability to drive (or fly!) anywhere.
If there's a GUIV and a GUVI then there must be a GU5? GU IV was the start of the common rail diesels and different shape guard flares. I don't honestly know what is different about the series 4 onwards? Some one else on here might be able to help.
Let us know how you go, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Tony

GU - 1997 to 2000, GUII - 2003 to 2003, GUIII - 2003 to 2006, GUIV - 2006 to 2007, GUV - 2007 to 2009.
I know what the differences are between the first 4 series only.
4WDing is addictive, we can help!!!
