Would have got the free add anyway. will never touch or recommend Tigerz to anyone, I'll only use proven products not some mag that buys a truck load of cr*P to un load on us, just look at all threads of failed products let alone one damaged GU from a roof rack in this forum

I understand that many of the current advertisers have abandoned teh mag. The likes of ARB and other big names are very unhappy with the Tigerz brand basically copying their stuff in China and flogging it off back into this market. All the advertising that is currently appearing is due to big Print runs in India. watch the mag and see them all opt out in the coming months as the print runs out.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I gave up on them a few years ago, the mag had a bold highlight on the front cover.. huge 196 pages this month.
Take out the front and back cover I reckon there was 194 pages of adds.
Not realy but you know what I mean.
In the early days I was fool enough to believe what Roothy said and bought some waste of money products or followed dud advice.
Their comparo articles directly related to the adds running in that months edition, the best fridge changed that many times, WTF.
Bought one a year or so ago ( I'm sure it was their mag????) about winches, the Warn was the best according to the test results by my reckoning and they did say it out performed the rest, but, it came 3rd as it was expensive.
The price does not come into it, if its the best thats what it is. Then the consumer can make up their own mind to shell out the readys.
Its like saying a Comadore is better than a Rolls as its cheaper. Maybe it is but you see my point.
I dont wish ill of them but they will not see any of my hard earned for literature, merchandise or products. There is a lot like me so they may be finding it hard to do business the way they have been operating.
    Got wise and brushed them.
    Cheers
    Macca

EMG (4WD Action publisher) owns Tiger11 now, so that explains the push - need a return on their investment ... they made a bid for another supplier also and were knocked back. They also informed their current major advertisers (ARB, TJM, Piranha, etc, etc) that they were getting more into the product side of the market to offset company costs, provide 'alternate' options for buyers, and generally I would say, to make some coin out of the whole affair - apparently wasn't received too well by the majors and subsequently, I think you'll see more and more of them retracting (or reducing their advertising at the very least) in the short term future. That's business these days I guess - cant blame them for it - if the market for the lower end items (ripoffs or otherwise) weren't there due to consumer demand, then it would be a moot point and we wouldn't be discussing this currently.

One potential positive though - less ads in the mag and more concentration on topics - paid for by (you guessed it) product sales that go to them and not the other players.
