    obd plug zd30 test?

my plug seems to be different than anybody else s . On all posts that i've seen you put a wire between wire 1 & 8 to read the faults. My plug doesn't have a wire on position 8. there are 5 on the bottom left side & 2 on the top row. It is a patrol 10/07 3.0LTR xd30 turbo diesel. how do i test for faults?

Your Patrol should be a CRD, the best thing would be to purchase a ScanGauge.

This will enable you to check for fault codes and heaps of other stuff.

x 2 with Rodney, purchase a ScanGauge, a lot easier than trying to manual fault find

Let us know how it goes and post up any pics of the gauges and list what gauges you can use.

    Cheers
