Replacing GQ Barn door window seals
HI All,
I have been looking through the forum for an answer to my question , but the majority of GQ window Q & A's relate to the sliding windows.
I have 2 questions regarding rubber window seals.
My first question relates to the barn doors.
How easy ( or I suppose, How?) is it to replace the seals on the barn doors of my GQ ?
The current ones are deteriorating and have rather large gaps in.
In addition, all the door seals ( that sit on the external bottom of the window , that stop the rain water running inside my door skin) are all too small. I think they may be a generic roll of rubber and were possibly replaced when the body work was sprayed, which leaves gaps in excess of 5mm at the front & rear edge.
Has anyone replaced any of these rubbers?
Is there a specific part or does it come on a roll ?

It's an easy job for 2 people.. Gently with force push your old windows out
Here is my build install for the solid one piece sides. Exactly the same for install.

Yea sorry, it's not the barn doors, but removing and installing is the same concept of rolling the rubber over the steel lip..
As for outer window weather strips we have located a company in south Melbourne who make a similar rubber, but were still investigating it..
You can always by genuine weather strips threw nizzbits or other genuine dealers.
