    HI! Will aTBb42 auto trans bolt onto a TD42?

    i has anyone every put a tb42 transmission on to a td42?? and will i need to put the td42 bellhouseing on the td42 to make it fit!

    the blocks are the same so I dont see why it wouldnt fit could be wrong though

    Yes they can be bolted to them it has been done not sure what is needed though

    I think the biggest drama you will have is for the kickdown of the auto. The rest should be pretty straight forward. If it was me I would be manualising the valve body and putting in a TC lockup switch.

    I'm sure I read somewhere that all autos are the same, so if your model came out with an auto option, there should be no problem. I could be wrong tho.
