Coulsen Trk or Hay River Trk info

    Hi all,
Just thinking in a year or two about trip down Coulsen Track and/or Hay River Track. Anyone done it recently? Apart from desert parks pass, any other permissions? If so contacts please. Also if you have done it, what vehicle(s), tyres, fuel use etc. Any and all info most welcome. I haven't done Simpson yet so this part of Oz is new to me. Look forward to hearing from you, Cheers, Monty

    Hey Monty,

I did a little of the Hay River Track and the Coulsen when I dd the Madigan Line in July this year. The Hay River track is very pretty and fairly easy mate but a nice drive.

After where I came from it was a nice change! Lol there was a bit of traffic on it and it would be suitable to tow a camper if that is your thing.

The track actually is in the river bed so is fairly flat but windy. Reasonably fast and could probably do in High range without to much trouble.

    Have a great trip mate.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
