Yes LCD. I have not yet encountered trouble from the sun but I am expecting it.

I got autometer gauges & a pillar pod off eBay. All up around $300. Very happy with the result.

There is a vendor on the forum who sells gauges . KHOLO ST is his name , PM him and see how you go or search ''autometer combo'' thread with info on whats what . Otherwise ebay is your friend with the strong aussie dollar . My advice is make sure you get boost readings in PSI and EGT in degrees celcious / metric .
The price of excellence is dicipline , the cost of mediocrity is dissapointment .

And don't get a boost gauge that goes into negative, no need. Consensus seems to be 0 to 30 psi gauge.

X2 Autron gauges & pillar pod. 2 gauges, 4 readings. EGT & boost are in 1 gauge, dual batteries in the other. Boost & EGT alarms built in & adjustable. No problems in sunlight but can be a bit bright at night. They are a bit $$ though

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I've gone the Autometer gauges from eBay... a tad more reasonable than Autrons. Thanks anyway Steveo. Thanks Boots - yeah negative = vacuum.
