Good to meet you the other day.
The 30" bar came up a treat. Looks as though it doesn't obstruct your field of view which is a bonus. I bet there will a few more night drives coming up!

threedogs: The beam pattern on our single row lightbars is approximately 25 degree. It all depends on whether or not the light uses a reflector or refractor and also the depth the led is mounted at.
Our single row LED light bars use a 5w cree LED as apposed to the majority of dual rows which use 3w LED's so the current consumption is not quite half and the light output is not half either.
However, there are other manufactures out there still using 3w LED's in there single row lightbars and you are correct in saying the current consumption and light output would be very close to half of a dual row.

    Cheers,
    Paul

All good mate. You haven't stepped on any toes.
I wasn't having a go at you at all in my reply and I'm sorry if it came across that way.

Also guys, note that when you go to our website some of the prices will be different (more) to what I have put up on here.
Put your order through as normal and I will override the price and give any refund of over payment straight away. If you have any questions regarding the ordering process (very simple) let me know.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    G'day Pete.
Sounds like you figured it out. Order off the website and I'll pack and send it for you the same day.

As for the difference between LED & HID..
There are alot of technical differences between the two, however I wont go into explaining the technical side (Conductor material, how semiconductors work, electrons) but give you a couple of points on the two.

LED - Light Emitting Diode. No filament that can burn out or break and last much longer than the arc tubes of HID's. When turned on the light output is instant. A much larger spread of light. Low current draw. No ballast that can fail.

HID - High Intensity Discharge. Have a warm up time of 5 – 15 seconds until reaching maximum brightness. They throw light further into the distance. Can update a set of existing driving lights with an aftermarket kit.

I hope that gives you a bit of an idea.

    Cheers,
    Paul
