nearly be worth leaving a sports bag of old warm clothing permanently in the back somewhere, since serious cold seems to be only just around the corner in the high country?

I used to leave a bag of clothes in the back for times when a mate would issue an impromptu invite for a week of fishing and imbibing with he an his wife - saved going 50ks in the wrong direction to pick same up. Fishing gear was at his place.

Yeah it is, there are signs all over the place up that way that say don't eat the blackberries as they've been sprayed, so it's sorta under control.
