Got one of those RGB square 10watt flood Lights. most other colours are useless.
Going to test next camp to see what colour WILL NOT attract insects, not convinced its yellow.
Wouldn't recommend ,it not much chop out bush, just something I'm working on,
Remote controlled as well
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

5050 are the superbright LEDs. They are far better than older style LED. More light for less power and one of the 50s stands for the 50,000 theoretical hours of life you should be able to get out of them.
3528 and 5050 are the dimensions of the actual diode. 3.5x2.8mm and 5x5mm so a 5050 LED is gonna put out a lot more light but you gotta be careful of how many LEDs are in the strip.
SMD LED means surface mounted LED, they lay directly on a flat surface (circuit)
SMD is brighter than LED most of the time.

5050 will be really bright in camp at night and will be too much i reckon. Good maybe for cooking but terrible for ambient light in camp. Fit a dimmer if you are running 5050 and going to make a portable stick light as it will drive you nuts.
I use 20mm electrical conduit as the backing and just stick the LED straight to the conduit. works a treat, is light weight and strong and readily available.
In terms of the best length?? Give a thought to how you will pack it in the back of the car?? i carry 3 umbrellas in teh back of my car and two are the right length to store down the side and between the back of the seat and the back door. the 3rd i have to stick down the side of the seat as its too long!
make it so you can pack it or you might as well make it 2m long and put it on the roof
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever. WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
Sorry, my post thanks is being denied at the moment. I would have thanked you guys. Firstly for the info and also for the thread dig as I had forgotten about it. Lol.
