Water in fuel sensor stuffed or standard dash light operation
Hi, Mr paranoid here...lol....TD42 GQ
Ive noticed lately that the water in fuel sensor stays on after all the start up symbols go out for about 10 seconds after the car starts. Light goes out as soon as you touch the accelerator or it sometimes just goes out after 10 seconds or so.
100% confirmed no contamination and fairly recent filter too.
Does anyone else's water in fuel warning light stay on like this when engine's started or is it just the sensor on It's way out, relay, wiring???
Never comes on again after that, just on start up...

Legendary
is filter genuine or aftermarket because a mate had trouble with aftermarket microns were too small
and with reving the engine it cleared the mesh abit to get the fuel through

Patrol God
Hey bud had a look at 2 of our 3 patrols this morning and he light goes out straight away once started. I know on patrols rough roads can make the light come cos the float on the sensor is being bounce around. I haven't run genuine fuel filters on any of patrols and haven't had an issue. If it goes out and stays out once running I wouldn't worry about it to much
