94 td42 oil pressure sender location

    Evening all,
I trawled the forum with no luck looking for the answer.
The oil pressure light started flicking on this morning and is now on permanently.
I spent some time with a decent amount of water travelling brought the engine bay and think this could be the problem.
Can anyone point me in the right direction
    Thanks

    Saga Continues

    To continue my saga,
the sender is dry and has aboot over it.
I did however find a hose that is not connected to anything and I do not know where it belongs?
I am hoping this could be the source of my problem
The hose that leads from the left side as you look from the bull bar is the one taht is disconnected.

That is normal for that part you have posted a pic of. There is plenty of oil in your engine? There should be a resistance reading for your oil pressure sender so you can check it with a multimeter. If you cant get a multimeter maybe ask a friend who has a patrol with a working sender and swap them out to check that. I do believe for the the light to come on the circiut has to be earthed so possibly a broken wire somewhere earthing out and turning the light on.

The oil is in the middle I'd the knarled area on the dip stick.
I checked across the terminals and it was at 178 ohms
Everything I have read has said it is within tolerance. But is it too high when the engine is not running?
I will check the wires in the morning and update.
    Thanks guys
