Muffler issue

I have 4.2 td and have the 3 inch exhaust system. i was thinking about removing muffler for better flow. Has any one try this and how load was it. Is it still drivable .

If the exhaust is kept at full length and just the muffler is removed they sound heaps better and are nowhere near loud in the vehicle.

x2 I have a 3in mandrel bent no muffler, Its louder out side than inside, and it sounds tuff
