Hi KL570 ... what were the symtoms of the Clutch Booster going? I think mine is on the way out too. The clutch peddle has gone really heavy.
How are you going with the rebuild?

And yes that sounds like the booster going to me :/ or a really stuck slave/master cylinder. Poke your head under and check the slave and pushrod to the clutch fork

This is really interesting ... I was trying to remove my steering wheel from the column spline, which requires lots of banging on the steering wheel ... and afterwards I found that the clutch peddle was now super smooth and light. I think the vibrations on the steering column were transferred up the firewall to the clutch booster and master unit. It didn't provide a permanent solution though, but each time the peddle goes heavy I can just bang the steering wheel a few times and it all comes good....
I had replaced the clutch a few months ago, and replaced the clutch master and slave a few years ago. I'll do the rebuild on the booster and check the master/slave cylinders at the same time...
Just another task to add to the to-do list...
