    ....

well, i cracked my head on my tb42 patrol, so i have been pushing to get the v8 one finished, using alot of the panels off the 4.2 gq, and been working on the v8 for the past 4days.
my engine bay is just about sorted, just need to clamp my fuel lines into position on the firewall, all my wiring is working well now (rewired the cab and body), as i had a few earthing issues. everytime i think i'm close, i find out im yet so far. i ripped all my original carpet out, removed all the underlay, and got scrubbing. the new sound proofing is in, the carpet in my 4.2 gq is only 18mths old so that has gone in for the moment. My peugeot 207gti seats unfortunately are too wide to fit between the trans tunnel and b-pillar, so much to my regret, i cannot run them.
I cleaned all my dash and trim plastics in the kitchen sink, now my mrs has the sh!ts, i guess i should have used the dishwasher.
I sanded my panels back and got them in etch primer, my rear qtr cuts are done, plated and etch primed,. Got my new windscreen fitted on saturday along with a new seal, all my dash is now tidy, fitted my headlights, HID's and front indicators, stripped out my hood lining.
I rebuilt my swivels hubs a couple of weeks ago, and those who are interested i did manage to sort out my clutch fork issue using a bore scope / inspection camera.

There is still alot of adjusting to do, the pivot for my clutch fork needs to be adjusted out, i can only just engage gears, wheels bearing need adjusting once i've taken it for a quick run up the street and back, and i have a fuel leak from my -6 to -10 fuel line adapters (dodgy washers?). I was planning on getting it tuned today, but due to powercruise going on up here, my tuner is flat out.

oh, i won't be running the exhaust silencer, a mate made up one for his rb25 powered r31 skyline (big hp), we pulled the silencer plug out and his air fuel ratio's were over 18:1 requiring him to retune his engine (he's a bit of a guru with RB's, tunes his own on the street).
So essentially the plug restricts flow that much, causing it to run rich. This r31 would scrabble for traction in 3rd, now it lights the tyres with 40% throttle and pretty much has maxed out his injectors on the same boost.
