Travelling Podologist
Not the fastest way, but the best way I've done it was between Bundaberg & Gippsland, basically staying in the Great Dividing Range as much as possible when I bought a troopy up there & drove it home. A mix of bitumen & good dirt roads.

Hey mate, my input. Newell for the win on the way up. Great freshwater fishing for Cod at Glen Lyon Dam (near Tenterfield) and also Storm King Dam (much smaller but the biggest COD i have ever seen was pulled out of here- near Ballandean). If you like fresh water try spend some time around Kyogle (Toonumbar Dam (Toonumbar NP- There is also the occasional bout of Glow Flies if you have kids...its pretty awesome!), stocked with Bass, yellowbelly and all the "usual suspects"....If you like a bit of smoked Eel try Clarrie Hall dam. Beautiful spot to pull up, relax and just enjoy the scenery. Coast road is a pain but nice fishing if you follow some of the Northern rivers, lots of flattie, bream & assorted light tackle species.

Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both.

'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'
Such is the rule of honour.
