Fathers Day trip from Sydney to Kanangra Walls 2nd September 2012
Well this was not a planned day trip out, the missus and kids asked me what I wanted to do for the day.
Thought about a few places 2 go, but decided to jump in the 4b and head to Kanangra Walls, because it was unplanned it was going to be a late departure, and late day, but still was looking forward to the road trip.
Left Blaxland around 9:30am, Jumped on the M4 straightforward run, normal roadworks at Woodford, Hazelbrook, Wentworth Falls.......... all the places that should be minimum 100kph but are reduced to 40kph speed zones because of work that has not been done.
Arrived at Jenolan Caves around 11am, decided to have a quick stop here so we could stretch the legs, only stayed 10mins or so.
Arrived at Kanangra Walls around 12:50PM, after a couple of stops to take some photo's
Had a walk around took some happy snaps, had some lunch.
Left around 2:20PM and arrived home around 4:40pm, just in time to get some dinner ready for the kids.
Was a long day, with very little time spent there, but I enjoyed the road trip and that's all that mattered because it was daddy's day

Nice! That white stuff in the last couple of sets of photos - that's not sand is it ? :-) Not hail, either I'm thinking?? Looks a bit deep/thick for frost?
