I wouldn't be surprised if the LEDs themselves run on 12v inside, and just use a 240v to 12v inverter.
Just smash one open and find out Todd

I had a quick read the other day and pretty sure it mentioned 24 volts, will have 2 look into it some more. We have 3 different sizes and its a shame they aren't car led bars as I can buy them for pretty much cost price.
I do like your idea of smashing one open, I'm sure I could accidental drop one would not be the first product that has been dropped and smashed................. not by me though
