need dawes valve and catch can, Just smoked the turbo on zd 3.0

G'Day Im back, after having the patrol back from an engine rebuild after chewing a glow plug the turbo went out in sympathy, got it back now and the mech has suggested fitting dawes and catch can, also boost and exhaust gauges, he has blocked the egr port.
Any advice on where to source these parts would be greatly appreciated so thanks in advance for your input.
I really love my patrol but the bastards testing my patience.
    Regards Mark.

I've got five Dawes valves coming from the U.S. I should get them next week.
Or you get it from 3Barr in America. The Catch catch, the preferred one used by most is the Provent 200. Found on Ebay, don't buy the kit with all the hoses, buy the Provent by itself and then go to a hose place and get what you need. Much cheaper.
As for gauges. Personal choice on that one. Autotron I think they are called seems to be popular. Me? I like an all in one gauge so I opted for a McNally boost and EGT gauge from the States. The single pod sits right between the speedo and tacho. Not up on the dash or pillar.

You will also need to get a bung welded into your pipe to fit the pyro sensor for the EGT. I also happen to have a stock ZD30 dump pipe with the Cat gutted sitting here which already has the fitting in it.
You really need to get the gauges asap as blocking the EGR may cause over boosting issues so you need to monitor whats going on. You can also instal a needle valve into the turbo vacuum line to control the spool up rate of the turbo too if you like. Not important but some auto ZD30's benefit more from this I believe.

    Provent 200 - http://www.westernfilters.net.au/pro...roducts_id=745
    Dawes - http://www.3barracing.com/product_8.htm
    Needle valve - http://www.dependabledistributors.co...=205&sc=43&c=3

    Instructions - http://www.chaz.yellowfoot.org/Manua...Controller.htm

I'm running separate EGT and boost gauges on the pillar, and my EGT gauge only required a hole drilled in the dump pipe. It uses a self-sealing clamp to hold the probe in place. ~20,000kms and no issues so far with the probe.

Also make sure you are changing oil every 5-10,000kms and using something decent like Castrol Dello 400 or similar.

Finally, when you install the Provent, make sure you clean the MAF sensor as well. The MAF sensor controls the fuel ratio, and the most common cause of the grenade is over-fueling.
