Yeah, pretty stoked actually mate - bought it thinking it'd be a 4-6 month project, but with the valued help of many mates (members here), and using the whip on the young fella (and maybe a few sly hours by myself ... like 60+!!), it's shaping up much quicker than expected ...

Should be virtually new, and he'll most definitely get a good batch of years out of it if he treats it right ... we're keeping the receipts for everything also, so I'll post up the total at the end, but so far with completely new seals, shims, bearings (all of them!), oils, paints, products, etc, it's up to $2310 so far ...

Certainly has inspired me to get another one after this is done - maybe a tough comp style truck for serious play for me to give TANK a few more years of life??!! lol

Nice one guys, it's coming along nicely, Scotty I bet the young bloke can't wait to get it back on the road.

Keep the photos coming, I've really been enjoying this thread.

Well, we are down to the nitty gritty - one primed cabin and bonnet ... going to use the bonnet to test my 2pac skills!!! lol - otherwise, it's straight back to the stripping table!!!

Pretty much aiming to have the priming done over the coming week, and look to paint it next week. Then start putting the interior back together.

And talk about slave labour - young fella had all the kids into the wonderful task of sanding!!! lol

Got a pile of automotive plugs and grommets (the kind that slot into holes and you use for screws, and holding down upholstery etc).

Painting it balloil blue - the Ford blue - really deep and glossy looking blue on the falcons (and no doubt other models).

Getting there!!!! He's over the moon as you could imagine - getting somewhat handy around the shed too, learning tool names and uses (application still a little average, but keen and that will come with experience).
