LSD Problem
Hi All
My LSD has stopped working. I dont want a locker in the rear so i need to get it tightened. Does anybody know of a reputable specialist around the North side of Brisbane? also has anybody had this done already and if so, what should i be paying?
I wouldnt mind having a crack at it myself if i can find somebody to guide me through it.

Hi mate, might be obvious but have you checked the fluid quality and level?

I changed the oil recently to Penrite Limslip 140. I filled it to the correct level (until it started to come from the fill hole) Is that oil ok?

Yep thats fine. You can either shim it up, machine the housing or completely rebuild it. Darren Boxsell at redcliffe seems to be alright for this kind of work. If your good at reading and following instructions can quite easily be done at home.

thanks for the info. I can follow instructions ok. Is there a good set somewhere? Also when you say rebuild, what parts do you need?

As long as its for a limited slip and has atleast an 85w-90/140 then it should be fine. I run castrol 85w-140 lsx oil in mine with no issues. There is a good set of instructions on another forum im on with photos i will try and track it down. As for the rebuild you could get away with just doing the clutch pack in the LSD
