GU Wagon Rock Sliders, Materials and step-by-step guide to build your own
I have just built some bolt-on sliders for my GU wagon.
My sliders sit just off the bodywork and are similar in height to the chassis rails. This allows a little flex and protection.
They are mounted in 3 spots at this stage along the chassis.
I have a couple of final touches to complete the work but figured I'd post this for those who are interested but not sure how to go about it.
I didn't have a bending or notching machine so used a grinder and BIG electric hacksaw.
I have put together a complete step-by-step guide including pictures, tools and materials & important things on what to do as you go along while building your own set.
I cannot attach the document as it is 486kB and the text and pics are all justified etc. If I paste the words in, it muddles everything up.
Shoot me an email me if you want a copy of this, I'd be happy to oblige.
If someone else can manage to get in on here, please feel free to do so.

very nice mate well done and great post. I have just built mine for the gq, nearly identical except I bought 90 deg bends to join the outer bar to the inner and mounted the front slightly different to the chassis.
