I have friends of friends who tow big glass trailer boats to Fraser Island every year. Sometimes seems, in the videos I have seen, to be more of a skull drag than a tow :-)

However, they travel in convoy, and when required have multi tow vehicle trains happening to get off the beach or along the more difficult inland tracks/by passes.

I guess a fair bit of grunt would be needed to make a difference to that set up :-)

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

So why has this thread been dragged up? Someone looking to get the manuals maybe?
My advice is: not to follow my advice.
