IPF 900 preventative maintenance
Hi,
If you have IPF 900 driving lights with the chrome front, (these ones take an H3 halogen lamp) it might be worth popping the front off (2 screws) to see if they are corroding from the inside out.
I have been playing with an old pair, where the coating on the inside of the chrome section has failed well before the rest of the light, to the point where the corrosion has penetrated all the way through.
Should make them reasonably theft resistant :-)
Next thing is to see if they have any more candelabras or whatever it is, than my old Hellas :-)

Mine did the same thing. The chrome front ones were the genuine Nissan supplied lights. After an unfortunate accident, my nice insurance company replaced them with a brand new set of IPF branded lights that have the powder coated surround.
