    dyneema / plasma rope should not rot whilst wrapped on the drum as it is treated. if it is wet / muddy etc, take it off and clean and allow it to dry otherwise it will rot like any other rope.

    bonus with dyneema / plasma is depending on where the fray / damage is, you can cut the section and re-attatch the hook unlike steel cable which you have no choice but to replace due to the SWL will be knackered

    It's a safety issue change it by looking at the pics, Dyneema is affordable now depending on winch try and get at least 40 mtrs on it and a decent lock latch hook


    Try bestdealsdirect on fleabay for great deals on Dyneema rope all sizes
