Tigerz11 Winch
G'Day everyone, has anyone installed a Tigerz11 winch into a Factory GU111 steel bar, if so did you have to rotate the gear box to be able to access the gear lever and also did you mount the control box on top of the bar or did you knock out the section provided in the bar itself,
Cheers Tonks.

Yep I had to rotate the gearbox, very easy to do. I popped out the section and made up two L-Shape brackets so the control box sits just below the top of the bullbar. I have plans to refit the section of bullbar with a cutout for the hand controller plug, but havent gotten around to it as yet

Havent had a real chance to use it in an actual recovery, but just playing around with it it seems to pull very strongly, pretty noisy compared to other winches but who cares. I had to pull the bullbar off as it just would not fit up there, it made it far easier to sort out the bracketry for the control box anyway.

Mine is a GUIV.
I rotated the gearbox on mine, though I did have the winch fitted to my previous vehicle which I did also rotate the gearbox, so it may or may not be back to original position.
I mounted the control box in the same spot although the cut out in mine is more triangular. Just made up some brackets and turned the cover of the controller around 180 deg. It sits on an angle pointing forward.

Installed mine yesterday, only took about 45 minutes it was pretty easy. Heaps of room inside the bullbar.
I am yet to mount the controlbox though, its currently sitting inside the bullbar top recess....trying to workout what I want to do.
I also will have to get a die-grinder out and modify where the rope exits the hawse, its currently running from the bottom of the winch and over the steel bar.
Hopefully just grind the steel down on the bar, and maybe need an offset hawse....wont be hard.
Pretty happy with the kit, had everything required including longer mounting bolts. I stripped it down and had a look inside, also rotated clutch lever 90 degrees.
Its not hard to uninstall,so its not going to be hard to maintain regularly. Hopefully get to give it a work out soon.

G'Day Robbo, Do you have the factory Nissan steel bar, if so just rotate the winch so the motor is passenger side & gear box is drivers side, then the cable will come off the drum at the top and will be the right possy for the Hawse.
Cheers Tonks.

Cheers Tonks.. Will have another look today.
Would removing the rope and spooling it over the drum, instead of under achieve the samething?
Does it need to pull from under the drum?
