Hey There
Thought I would introduce myself. My name is Matt and I Just bought my first 4x4.Patrol GU III 3l turbo diesel. Unfortunately I must have tuned out when my mate told me to get a 4.2L. I have joined to get a little advice on making these engines a little more reliable. I'm looking forward to hitting the West Coast of South Australia at the end of the year. Any tips would be appreciated.
Cheers Matt

Welcome to the forum Matt, there's a lot of info on here about the 3lt. Have a look around and if you need to ask any questions mate please put them in the right category to get a better response as a lot of members won't see questions here.
Enjoy!

Welcome aboard. Contrary to many, the 3Ls are very reliable trucks if it is serviced regularly and not too much mod done to the engine bay. My friend's 2002 3L patrol with 150,000km is still going strong without any drama.
