Regies GUII grenade
Hey all,
My name's Regie and i found this site whilst trying to get info and how tos on replacing the injector pump on my ZD30.
My troll is a 2001 GUII ST ZD30 auto wagon. Bought the car 18months ago with 160 000ks on the clock. has now done 235k and the injector pump said no more.
Atm it is stock as a rock with only home made rear draws, spotties, uhf, and a kenwood deck. Always promised myself that i would only by a 4wd for off road and towing use. Since owning it have only taken it to beaches and light off road tracks as im not comfortable with driver and machine capabilities. Has towed my semi track car numerous times along with mates cars and have found the car to be a great investment.
Now that the injector pump has failed i've done a fair of research and will also be replacing the intercooler with a bigger one, blocking off the EGR system and looking in to the dawes valve mod.
Will post up pics later on the weekend after the pump is out along with some progress pics of the job at hand. Any and all advice is welcomed with open arms as diesel is all new to me.

Yep just had my throttle body and manifold cleaned out pretty much the same amount of gunk as you have in the photos. EGR now blocked.
What does a new injector pump etc cost out of interest?

Doing the work myself and just getting the pump rebuilt and new injectors im looking at around 3k

so turned out who ever last touched this motor didnt set the scissor gear. so the motor came out and removed the sump. Then reset the whole engine timing and put it all back together. the motor is back in the bay and awaiting for me to connect the wiring back up and all the minor things. Chasing detailed pics or diagrams so i can put all the brackets and bolts in correct order and place. Does anyone know where i can get these or help me out please?

well its all back together and running well. fitted a boost guage last week and will block the egr and fit the dawes valve this break. hopefully the following break after that i will have the ase cooler to fit.

dawes valve and 3inch turbo back exhaust is fitted. just waiting on the ase cooler now. still no leaks or issues so im pretty proud of the job....
