bearing noise
evening all,
my 200 dx 4.2 d na developed a worn bearing type noise in what I thought was the gear box, only detected/noticable at idle, upon investigation notice the aircon belt was loose so tightned and the noise went away, untill recently this was fine now the worn bearing/ rumbling noise is back even with a correctly tensioned belt. when aircon swithched on noise goes away
I can't detect any play in the belt adjustment system pulley, or in the aircon compressor pulley ( by shaking them) have I missed something ??, dx done 190thou.
Cheers Baz

Possibly the clutch bearing in the compressor.

X2 Robo. Should be able to remove the bearing and take it to a bearing shop for a new one, or get a complete unit from a spares shop.
If you going through hell...Keep going
