    Hydro power at camp

    Never event thought of this but 9 times out of 10 I'm camping next to a river/creek.

    What about the cost of the hydro unit. Would take a while to get your money back. Panels would be much cheaper. You would also need suitable water pressure. However, if you had a site that's you always visited with strong water it would work 24/7 unless tidal.
