they are actually a gift, father inlaw owns the shop, so im not worried about cost, just asking more so, would i be better getting 15s for more sidewall and stuff, or return and get a 16? or better yet, would a 15 even fit over my brakes, i dont want to mess around getting them out of the box and scratching them up if im going to end up returning if you know what i mean. Cheers

Send them back.
15s will fit over your brakes unless you have a 4.8 then no chance.
16s give a bit more room around the brakes regardless and i like the extra ventilation that room gives tot he brakes in the bush. Less likely that the Mud will get jammed in there either with a bit more room.
Go the 16s

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Legendary
consider the cost of tires as the 16s are probably more common and cost less

Go to the 16".. Think future. NO one will want 15" rims in 5 years time when you want to sell them or put them on a different car. I would def change them if I could.

I thought you still need to run a different offset to run 15 inch rims on a GU ???, GUs are bad enough at getting wobbles without changing wheel offset (lol)

Width and offset are really dependent on what size tyre you plan on running? Also it's a good idea when shopping for steel wheels to splurge a bit and get the decent ones such as the ROH Trax. Chinese steel wheels are very wobbly. I'm not just saying that cos they are chinese, It's just a fact. I'v had multiple set through work that we have sent back, You wouldn't even put them on your trailer.
