    Reccomendations in central highlands

Hello all, can anyone reccomend a good spot to go off road for a beginner around the Bacchus marsh area, I would like to get a bit of experience before the winter gets here and turns the track to mud

You have a derth of areas that you can have fun in your fourby. Wombat and Lederderg are full of tracks. Even head north past of Kyneton and have a drive around the Cobaw Forrest. Easy to get to, and some easy tracks to learn on and some fund tracks on the west boundry. Closer to home have a look on the map for Firths Park near Bullengarook off the Bacchus-Gisborne Rd. Start there and head off in what ever direction takes your fancy Don't forget the sides of Mt Macedon. Best bet is to get a few maps. Have a look around the tracks at Blackwood and South of Trentahm Some real good tracks. Aim for the fire tower on top of Blue Mountain at nearby Blackwood. Scenic and fun to get to. Have a look around O'Briens Crossing as there are some excellent tracks to and from this area. Rooftops put out a few good maps of these areas. All the best
The fear of a wrong decision is preferable to the terror of indecision
