Kris, if there isn't room for a surface mount female ciggy plug, you can get female ciggy plugs that do not need to be surface mounted, they just go onto the end of the wire - like a house extension lead. You could just let that rattle around in your console.
You'd think there would be surface mounted ciggy and USB female plugs available - maybe that is what Tweaked is keeping us in suspenders about :-)

That looks nice and neat Tweaked. What is the max amp draw through it combined? Would it be safe to simply beef up the original fuse for the ciggy lighter or would it be better to re-wire it in?

could one of the usb sockets be rewired to accept the usb extension from the headunit?
